My country is now celebrating holidays and festivals. Each month, we celebrate a holiday or festival, but the most significant ones are rooted in our traditions. In every home, we prepare special food for these occasions. One of the most delicious foods is sumalak. Sumalak has a long origin story. People prepare sumalak only during the holiday season because it is not suitable to make it at another time. The hot and cold air can spoil the taste of this dish. To start preparing sumalak, you should first soak the wheat, then germinate it for two weeks, squeeze out the water, and boil the wheat for 20 hours. After 20 hours, sumalak is ready to be consumed. I must admit that I have never tasted anything like it before. It is so special, and I don't enjoy other dishes as much.
