Band 5+: Do you think it is important that children are encouraged to eat healthily?

Your pronunciation is above average. However, you may find complexity in certain words challenging. Regular practice should aid in improvement.

The response directly addresses the question and provides a clear opinion. It includes a relevant personal example and explains the benefits of healthy eating for children, such as forming habits and gaining energy. To improve, consider developing the ideas further with more specific details or additional reasons, and work on smoother transitions between sentences to enhance fluency.

The answer is somewhat fluent but has noticeable repetition and self-correction (e.g., 'When they would... When they would...', 'So I would... This would...'). Ideas are organized with a clear opinion, explanation, and example, but the flow is disrupted. To improve, practice speaking more smoothly by planning your response briefly before speaking, and reduce hesitations. Use more cohesive devices like 'because', 'for instance', 'as a result' to link ideas more naturally.

Vocabulary is basic and repetitive (e.g., 'healthy', 'fresh', 'energy' used multiple times). There is some attempt at topic-specific words like 'vegetables and fruits', but limited range. To improve, expand your vocabulary with synonyms and more precise terms (e.g., 'nutritious', 'well-being', 'dietary habits', 'long-term benefits'). Also, avoid awkward phrases like 'in great children with healthy'. Boost vocabulary complexity to elevate the overall score.

There are frequent grammatical errors that hinder understanding, such as 'in great children with healthy is good definite' (should be 'encouraging children to eat healthily is definitely good') and 'More age' (should be 'As they get older'). Sentence structures are simple and often incomplete. To improve, focus on basic sentence construction, subject-verb agreement, and correct use of tenses. Practice forming complex sentences with subordinate clauses to increase range.
