I think that some people might believe that advice from parents when choosing a career is important because they may know something about their children's personalities that they don't know themselves. However, I think professional assistance is needed because those who work in such services know exactly how to guide students in choosing the right career and how to advance in these jobs to reach their dream job. So, I think a combination of both is important.
