Well, for the topic, I think that you should consider whether they are a good person or not. If they have a lot of good qualities, like sincerity, kindness, and honesty, there's no reason for you to terminate contact with them. It is important because when you were younger, you created many memories with your friends. Now, both of you are different from each other, and you have a chance to reminisce about those memories.
