Of course, social media platforms play a major role in connecting people across the globe. It has bridged the communication gap. People connect through video calls, WhatsApp groups, and there are special groups for school friends, college friends, or family groups, which keep them connected every day. That being said, I also feel that there are people who are socially disconnected but technically connected. I mean, technology cannot provide or replace human face-to-face interactions.
