Band 6+: Do you use public transport? Why/Why not?

Your pronunciation is quite good. Working on consistency and tackling difficult sounds may enhance clarity.

The answer directly addresses the question, clearly stating that the speaker uses public transportation often and provides reasons (lack of private vehicle, being a student, cost considerations). The response is natural and includes some elaboration, though it could be slightly more developed with specific examples or details about the types of public transportation used or the benefits beyond necessity. Overall, the response is coherent and on-topic, demonstrating a strong command of the language.

The answer is generally coherent and easy to follow, with a clear structure: stating frequency, giving reasons, and providing a final point. However, there is noticeable repetition of the phrase 'because of that' and 'I would say', which reduces fluency. The ending 'Okay, okay' is a clear sign of hesitation and should be avoided. To improve, try to use a wider range of linking words (e.g., 'therefore', 'as a result', 'moreover') and avoid filler phrases.

The vocabulary is adequate for the task, with some good phrases like 'without public transportation my life would be very difficult' and 'I wouldn't prefer a private car'. However, there is a lack of precision and variety. For example, 'private transportation vehicle' is redundant; 'private vehicle' is sufficient. The phrase 'this kind of transportation' is vague. To improve, use more specific and varied vocabulary, such as 'rely on', 'commute', 'cost-effective', or 'convenient'.

The grammar is mostly accurate, but there are a few errors. 'I haven't a private transportation vehicle' should be 'I don't have a private vehicle'. 'To go to the a university' contains an article error ('the a' should be 'the' or 'a'). The sentence 'I wouldn't prefer private car or other vehicles' is missing an article ('a private car'). The range of structures is limited, with mostly simple and compound sentences. To improve, try using more complex structures, such as conditional sentences or relative clauses.
