The purchasing choices of younger people differ from those of older people because younger people are mainly making purchases based on impulse and passion for a particular item, regardless of the consequences they may face later on. Older people, on the other hand, are more wise and make rational decisions. When buying expensive items, they carefully consider the pros and cons before making a purchase. They mainly view expensive items as investments rather than splurges. They want to be sure of their purchase before committing. Younger people, however, are more likely to make purchases based on passion without considering the long-term implications.
