When we are studying abroad in a cultural exchange program, it's very helpful for us to promote understanding between different cultures in the world. For example, I studied abroad in Japan and learned about their culture, such as how to respond to people who are older than us, how to finish conversations, and many different aspects that I learned from Japan because it's very different from Indonesia. So, cultural exchange programs really promote understanding and empathy between people from different backgrounds.
