Letter writing has practically vanished in my culture. In the past, people would write letters to loved ones. If you were in love with your partner, or missing your colleagues or friends, you would write a letter. It would take two or three days to reach the intended recipient. But nowadays, the culture of letter writing has completely diminished. I haven't seen anyone write a letter in my country for many years. I think the postal service has even closed down in my area, so you can't even receive letters here. Most people use mobile phones or laptops to communicate with each other, whether they live abroad or in the same area.
