Well, I absolutely agree with that statement. Consider social media as a grand, endless platform for people, which leads to them having less and less significant feelings about certain issues. The catalyst that is social media increases exposure to an unprecedented level, ultimately creating people who are overexposed to certain situations. This might also result in them becoming desensitized to those situations in the end.
