I still remember the conversation that I once had with my grandmother of my close friend during the Lunar New Year period. Particularly, I remember it was the second day of the Lunar New Year when I dropped by my close friend’s house while waiting for her to get dressed. I spent around 30 minutes chatting with her grandmother. Initially, the conversation started off with just some casual updates about my personal and professional life and then it escalated to a deeper level. Specifically, she asked me where I would be in the next five years and the question really made me contemplating on a lot, not just about my professional career but also about where I would be and what I want to do in my life in the next five years. The reason that I enjoy having the conversation and still remembering the chat by heart until now is that that is the moment of reflection that made me who I am today. Particularly, I share with her about my ambitions of going, of traveling to different countries in the next five years. I remember back then I was still stuck with the 9 to 5 routine and couldn’t actually escape from the reality. However, the conversation made me realize what is important in my life and what I should be doing next in order to enjoy life to the fullest.
