Band 6+: What are some innovative strategies for addressing the issue of food waste?

Your pronunciation is very good. Aim to refine subtleties and intonation to further improve.

The response addresses the question but lacks depth and detail. To improve, consider discussing a range of innovative solutions beyond just donation, such as technological advancements in food preservation, policy changes, or educational initiatives. Providing specific examples would also strengthen the answer.

The response is somewhat coherent, but there's room for improvement in structuring the ideas more clearly. The use of 'whenever' is a bit vague. Try to use more specific connectors to link ideas and avoid repetition. For example, you could start with a clear statement about the problem of food waste and then introduce your solution.

The vocabulary is basic and lacks precision. Words like 'extra food,' 'needy people,' and 'baggers' are acceptable but could be replaced with more sophisticated alternatives. For example, instead of 'extra food,' you could say 'surplus food' or 'excess food.' Instead of 'needy people,' consider 'underprivileged individuals' or 'those facing food insecurity.' 'Baggers' is not a standard term; 'homeless individuals' or 'people living in poverty' would be more appropriate. Boost vocabulary complexity to elevate the overall score.

The grammar is generally understandable, but there are some errors and awkward phrasing. 'Rather than they would waste' is grammatically incorrect; it should be 'rather than wasting it.' The sentence structure is also quite simple. Try to incorporate a wider range of grammatical structures, such as complex sentences, to improve the overall quality of your response. For example, you could use conditional sentences or relative clauses.
