I actually don't have much idea about the popularity of children's books in my country. However, I have heard from some adults that most of their children love to read comic books or whenever their parents tell them a comic story. So, these kinds of books are quite popular in my country. Still, I don't have a specific idea about exactly which books are popular, but definitely horror can't be the popular one among children because it will scare them away.
