The long-term potential consequences of social media are literally hideous because people, especially Gen Z, are focusing more on social media instead of their careers and studies. Most people are wasting their time and crucial aspects of their lives on these platforms, like Instagram, Facebook, or TikTok. Gen Z is wasting their time on social media, and this is the hideous disadvantage of social media. If I talk about the long-term consequences, few people are interacting with each other nowadays because they are trapped by social media. They are wasting their time mostly on these platforms, and therefore, they are not going out of their homes or comfort zones because they are trapped inside platforms like Facebook, etc.
