I think that this tendency can influence two ways, and it depends on the point of view. On the one hand, it is of course better for students who want to study offline in universities, so there will be more places for them. However, it may not be a great benefit; I would say it could even be a disadvantage for the universities, because the best students, or at least some part of them, would go to online education and they would just leave them alone. Also, of course, the competition among people who want to study will be lower. That means that universities would pick from a limited number of people.
