In India, generally everyone has a habit of arriving late. There is a nuance and a notion called Indian Standard Time, which is considered to be a stretched time from the time that is given. However, I strictly don't follow this practice. I like to stick to the time that is given. It has been seen on various instances that people try to make it on time. In India, because of the traffic and certain circumstances on the roads, they are not able to make it on time. The population is a big challenge; there are a number of cars on the road that create a huge mess and chaos, causing people to be late. I think if such issues are controlled, if people use public transport, and if there are fewer cars on the road, and the government takes some initiative, we can go ahead and stick to the practice of being on time and have a more disciplined life.
