Band 4+: What kind of music do you enjoy listening to, and where do you usually listen to it?

Your pronunciation is above average. However, you may find complexity in certain words challenging. Regular practice should aid in improvement.

The answer addresses the question by stating a preference for a specific song and mentioning when and where the student listens to music. However, the response lacks clarity and natural expression. The phrase 'My favorite music is vocal, named...' is awkward, and the reason given ('it's famous and more likely in my opinion') is vague. The student could improve by providing more specific details about the type of music (e.g., genre) and elaborating on the listening context with clearer examples. Additionally, the final sentence contains a grammatical error ('flexible' should be 'flexibility' or rephrased). To enhance the response, the student should aim for more coherent and idiomatic language, and ensure each part of the question is fully developed.

The answer is somewhat coherent but lacks clear organization and logical flow. The response jumps from describing the music to when it is listened to without smooth transitions. There is noticeable repetition ('My favorite music' used twice) and self-correction. To improve, structure the answer with clear points: first describe the music, then explain when and why you listen to it, using linking words like 'for example' or 'because'.

Vocabulary is limited and imprecise. Phrases like 'more likely in my opinion' are awkward and unclear. The use of 'vocal' to describe music is vague, and 'bird' seems out of place (possibly a mispronunciation or error). To improve, use more specific and varied vocabulary, such as 'vocal music', 'relaxing melodies', 'upbeat tracks', and avoid vague expressions. Also, ensure correct word choice for clarity.

There are several grammatical errors and limited range of structures. For example, 'My favorite music because the music famous' is missing a verb and article ('is' and 'the' before 'music'). 'I listen to the music, bird and relaxing' is grammatically incorrect and confusing. The sentence 'it helps me relax and flexible' incorrectly uses 'flexible' as a verb. To improve, practice using correct verb forms, articles, and a variety of sentence structures (e.g., complex sentences with 'when' and 'because').
