I think that the younger people around the world are interested in living in cities for many reasons. There are more work opportunities and higher salaries available. This means that they have a greater chance to go out and have fun because, let's face it, most of the entertainment venues and events take place in the city. In large Chinese cities, there are concerts, sports events, and other activities. So if you are a music or sports fan, there will always be something for you to do. I think that it's not only the younger people who enjoy city life. Older people also seem to enjoy it. Young Chinese people often have this idea that older people would prefer to go out to the countryside to relax after they retire. But as people get older and wealthier, they may want to enjoy their lives in the city, like the older people in Shanghai who go out to eat, socialize with friends, and dance in the evening. I don't think you could find that kind of lifestyle in the countryside.
