In my country, we have traditional Nepali cuisines. These can be quite difficult to make. Some common dishes include rice, lentils, various vegetables, and pickles. It would be challenging for young children to prepare these. However, they could learn to make simple, ready-to-eat meals like noodles. Adding hot water to a cup of noodles creates a quick and delicious meal. Other instant foods that can be microwaved are also good options. These are things that young children can cook, fostering independence and reducing reliance on parents. Cooking is a fundamental skill that every child should learn. As children progress through elementary school, they can learn more complex Nepali dishes, representing our traditions and way of life. I believe it's crucial for children to learn to cook, as it empowers them to be independent. It's a skill that will benefit them throughout their lives.
