Band 8+: Who is your favorite sports person?

Your pronunciation is very good. Aim to refine subtleties and intonation to further improve.

The answer is on-topic and directly addresses the question. It provides a clear choice (Cristiano Ronaldo) and elaborates with reasons (hardworking, disciplined, successful, determination). The response is natural and well-developed, showing a willingness to elaborate. To achieve a higher score, consider adding a specific example or anecdote to make the answer more vivid and personal.

The answer is coherent and well-organized. The speaker introduces the topic, states a preference, and provides reasons. There is no repetition or self-correction. To achieve a 9, the speaker could add a brief example or further elaboration to enhance the flow.

The vocabulary is precise and appropriate (e.g., 'admire', 'hardworking', 'disciplined', 'determination', 'constant desire'). The range is good but not exceptionally wide. To reach a 9, the speaker could incorporate more varied and less common vocabulary, such as 'perseverance' or 'epitome of excellence'.

The grammar is consistently accurate. The speaker uses a variety of structures, including complex sentences (e.g., 'What I respect most about him is...') and relative clauses. There are no errors. This meets the criteria for a band 9.
