So, I guess I should kick off with the point that one of the main issues in society today is the high expectations placed on individuals. We all see that there are standardized rules that everyone feels they need to live up to. For example, people are often expected to succeed academically, professionally, and in their personal lives, which leads to a serious fear of failure and self-doubt. On top of that, there is a strong fear of judgment. Many are afraid of being criticized, especially when trying new makeup or clothing styles. This worry about what others think can really hold them back from expressing themselves and letting their true colors show. It seems that societal norms are encroaching on people's confidence.
