There are many cases leading to this issue. First of all, I think that they haven't connected for a long time. You might be close friends when you were in high school, but when you enter university, both of you may move to different cities. This might lead to distance, which makes it hard to communicate. The second reason is that they don't share the same mindset. In social issues, you may have different ideas from your friends. If that happens many times, I think in the future, you cannot connect or share anything with your friends.
