Today we are gonna talk about children under the age of 18 learning and not learning musical instruments from 1996 to 2006, these children are from the UK.

As we can see from the chart 56% of children we not learning any instruments at all in 1996, however the other 44% were learning whether it was one or more.

The most popular instrument played in 1996 was the Piano which was 30% of the children followed by the keyboard which is a similar instrument to the paino

Now, lets talk about children in 2006. The percentage went up drastically 76% of the children were learning one or more instruments while the other 24% weren’t. The most popular instrument that year was the keyboard which was at the 30% mark, followed by the piano which was between 25% and 30%.

As the years go by children in the UK were learning instruments everyday i can confidantly say that due to the chart showing less than 50% of children were learning any in the 1996 to more than 75% of children learning instruments
