It is clear that the village has increased as a transport usage for population during more than a hundred year. At that time, the developments are categorized to three groups.
First and foremost, the main road which was coordinated to south-east and north-west of Chorleywood village and Golf course during 1868 and 1883. The motor way which was built in 1970,stretched from south-east to north-east. Also, the main road crossed down the south-east of the motor way.
Secondly, the expansion of Chorleywood caused to modernize further intersections out and in the roads in order to construct Railways from 1922 to 1994. In this period of time, the Railway was built in 1909 and crossed north-west of the prime highway. These improvements brought the village to get more broader as well as more habitable.
