Overall, Foreign investments in China declined steadily during the period where as the varied in India. In spite of this, the total investments in China were higher than in India.
The Chinese economy received just under 80 billion dollars in 2014, which dipped to around 60 billion dollars in 2015 and 2016.After a slight decline in 2017, It reached it highest point of around 100 billion dollars, before coming down to just around 40 billion dollars in 2019.
Investments in India started around 20 billion dollars, They rose significantly to around 60 billion dollars before falling back to similar levels of that of 2014 for the following year. In 2018 there was a drastic increase before returning to around 20 billion dollars in 2019.
2015 was the only year during which the levels of foreign investments of India surpassed those of China. India has more than 60 billion dollars of foreign investments in 2015 whereas China had less than 60 billion dollars.
