The chart depicts the information of acid level in mouth produced by consuming savour foods such as fruit sugar, cane sugar, and honey. In the result, this can be the reason of tooth decay.
Following the chart, high acid levels are measured by low PH levels. Firstly, the moment sugary food eaten PH levels of all foods are at 7. After 5 minutes, acid level of cane sugar increase and go at the highest peak (3.5 PH level), as well as, the graph PH levels of honey and fruit sugar also dicline, 4.7 and 4.2 respectively. That means all savour food can cause tooth decay after 5 mintues of eating them. However, when the time goes on the impact of acid levels will be decreased. Cane sugar is the only sweet whose PH level reach at 5.5 after 30 minutes from consumption. PH levels of fruit sugar and honey also increase and cross the level at 5.5 after 20 minutes and 13 minutes accordingly. Lastly, acid levels of all the foods reach at the safest level and the chances of tooth decay become rare.
Overall, as per the chart, all the sugary foods produce high level of acid in mouth after 5 minutes of consumption and that can mostly cause tooth decay.
