The age of people are between 60 and 65 years. overall, the data shows a clear decrease in male employment rate in all four counters, but the rates of employment female remain relatively stable.
It is clear that the older men in all four countries becoming less eployeed with differing of decreasing, however, Beigium has the gratest decrease in male employment ratio, decreasing from 79% in 1970 to 19% in 2000. Australia comes next in this decline, with is is ratio decreasing from 74% in 1970 to 47% by the end of the period. Male employment ratio in the USA has decreased similarity to decline in Australia, but it maintained a better ratio, reaching 55% in 2000. Despit an 8% decreases from 1970 to 2000, older Japanese men still miantain the highest employment ratio, reaching 79% in the end of the period.
Unlike older men, older women shows relative stability in employment rates. Furthermore, in the USA and Australia, the ratios increased slightly, with ratio moving up by 2% and 1% respectively. The small ratio in Belgium not only does not enhanced but also decreased from 8% in 1970 to 7% in 2000. like the in men’s employment rates, Japan maintained the highest female employment rates by stopping at 40% in 2000.
In conclusion, the bar charts show stability in female employment in the four mentioned countries, but male employment decreased.
