Dear Sir,

I am writing this to extend my six-month rental agreement of your apartment, which is getting expired on 31 August 2026, for a year.

I rented your apartment on 1 March 2026 for a period of six months as agreed, but I would like to extend it further for a year, that is, till 31 August 2027. The reason behind the extension of the rent agreement is that my project on “rainwater harvesting” got extended for a year. Earlier, due to budget constraints, the project was supposed to reach its final stage within six months, so I opted for a six-month agreement. Now, the government has sanctioned further funds for the project, so the deadline to finish the project has increased by a year.

Moreover, if you agree to extend my rent agreement, I would like to mention a couple of things that need renovation. Firstly, the geyser in the bathroom is not working properly as it hardly gives hot water. Secondly, one of the flooring tiles in the kitchen area is broken. Yesterday, I hurt my foot accidentally stepping on the tile at night while there was water on it.

I hope that you will consider my request to extend the agreement, in addition to resolving the issues in the apartment.
