Overall, it is clear that the consumption of Butter decreased during the year, Low fat & reduced spreads increased, and Margarine went up over the year.
In 1981, the consumption of Butter was approximately 143 gram. Subsequently this trend decreased tremendously to 65 gram in 1996, but the figure for butter went down slowly to 45 gram in 2007. By contrast, Low feat& reduced spreads starting at about 10 gram in 1996, the figure for then increased dramatically to 85 gram in 2001. Then, this trend decreased to 65 gram in 2007.
However, the consumption of Margarine was 90 gram in 1981, while this trend went up to 100 gram in 1991, then the figure for Margarine flactuated furing the period namely 1991 and 1996. Subsequently, this line decreased to 40 gram in 2007.
