The data illustrates the relationship between the number of released 10 different genres film in the UK and Ireland and its revenue received by ticket sold in 2012.
Overall, the Comedy category was the most popular movie rising as the one that made the most portion of income while Romance was the people’s least favorite film.First and foremost, Funny films released in total of 26 releases in 2012 showed at the UK and Ireland overtook nearly half of the whole income from ticket sales. Then, it is clear that the number of Drama and Documentary, both genres had 35 different films stood at 47.2% which slightly exceeded Comedy films alone. Followed by scary movies in the horror category which received 20.2% of the whole ticket’s revenue.
It can be seen that there was solely Biopic film released securing 9.1% of the whole film industry’s income whilst Crime and Action film types combination in total taken up almost the same amount as the Biopic movie. Although there were five Romance movies released in 2012, it still remain one of the smallest income within the other ranges of film genres.
