Overall, the lake consistently recorded the highest number of visitors among all the areas. While the mountain had the lowest visitors over the years.
The figure of visitors to the mountain fluctuated throughout the period. It started at the lowest figure from just 20,000 and remaining unchanged in the following year. In 1997, the figure for mountain visitors rose slightly to approximately 25,000 before undergoing a considerable decline to around 21,000. They then bounced back to 30,000 at the end of the period, which was the highest figure recorded for the mountain.
The number of lake visitors showed a gradual increase. Starting at just 10,000 in 1987, then visitor numbers tripled to 30,000 in the next year. It then rose sharply to around 75,000 in 2002, making the lake the most visited of the three areas, before falling to just over 50,000 at the end of the period. While the coast visitors fell slightly from 40,000 in 1987 to nearly 30,000 in 1982. It then climbed significantly around 60,000 in 1997 and then continued to rise steadily, reaching around 70,000 by the end of the period.
