The graph illustrates how many people around the world visited the coast, the mountains and the lakes in a country in Europe from 1987 to 2007.
Overall, almost the number of visitors to three different places saw an upward trend while people visited to the lakes dropped after having a significant rise. Over the period, the coast had the largest number of visitor while the opposite was true for the lakes.
On the one hand, the coast and the mountains both increased through the period. While the number of people visited to the mountains slightly rose from 20 thousands in 1987 to around 35 thousands in 2007, the coast experienced a marginal decrease in 1992 before reached a peak at approximately 75 at the end of the period.
On the other hand, despite having the number of visitors dramatically grew from 10 to 75 thousands in 15 years between 1987 and 2002, it diminished strongly to 50 in 2007.
