Overall, Germany had the largest proportion of the EU population, followed by France, Italy, and Spain, while the Nethrlands and Romania accounted for the smallest shares. The combained figure for the rest of the EU countries exceeded that of every nation.
Looking at the details, Germany made up 18,6% of the EU’s total population,becoming the most populated member state. Following it, France and Italy comprised 15,2% and 13,2%, respectively. The other member countries represented figures which is less than 10%, besides Spain, which accouned for 10,6% of total population.
In contrast, Romania and the Netherlands constituted only 4.3% and 3.9% respectively, marking them as the least populous among the countries shown individually. The remaining EU nations collectively formed the largest category, representing 25.7% of the total, which was substantially higher than the share of any single country.
