The represented pie chart below delineates the quantity of water usage across various areas in Sydney, Australia through the period within 1997 and 2007.
Generally, it can clearly be seen that the food industry emerged as the largest single sector over all periods, while the building industry stood at a mere percent for the whole time.
According to the first pie chart, the food industry section comprised the lion’s share of total water use, standing at a substantial 48 percent, while the building industry occupied a marginal position, standing at a mere 5 percent which is quite similar to the second chart. Looking at the remaining sections, which is service industry, manufacturing and household use, it is noticeable that there are not crucial differences, as they stood at approximately the same proportions, 13, 15 and 19 percent respectively.
Looking at the second chart more detailed, it is immediately apparent that the food industry took the majority position, with a significant 41 percent. Notably, the service industry percentage of total water use has undergone serious fluctuations with a 13 percent in1997 and ended with a 25 percent in 2007. While other proportions have circumvented strong changes, household use at 21 percent and manufacturing at 11 percent, which is not that different from the first pie diagram.
