The data illustrates the proportion of Australian exports to four nations between 1990 and 2012.
Overall, it’s clear that in 2012 China became the major country to which Australia exports goods but in 1990 the statics was vice versa. In 1990, Japan was the main exporter. However, this feature changed in 2012.
To begin with, in 1990, Australian’s exports to China sustained around zero per cent. Nevertheless, in 2012, this proportion increased dramatically to approximately 30%. The US and India’s shares in 2012 sustained near five per cent. In 1990, the India’s shares were the same as China’s. The US’s shares were above ten per cent, but in 2012 it had decreased around half.
Additionally, Japan was the biggest exporter in 1990. In 2012, this data changed and it dropped from around 25% to below 20%. Between 2005 and 2010 were dramatically changes. In the beginning of the 2005 the Japan was still leader but around 2008 the leader became the China.
