The given pie chart illustrates the number of users in five major age groups who mainly use three apps : Facebook , Youtube and Twitter.
Overall ,the most users use the three apps from the 18-34 age group which is young adults meanwhile the elderly or 65+ age group gain the smallest percentage of users.
A large number of users come from the 18-34 age group and 35-49 age group from the three apps , accounting for more than half of the total of each software. Twitter gains 40% of users in the 18-34 age group , which is 11% and 14% more than Facebook and YouTube respectively.Youtube and Twitter receive 29% of users in the 35-49 age group while Facebook is higher than both apps 1%.
Across the three platforms, YouTube has the highest usage in all three age groups 15% for ages 10-17, 20% for ages 50-64, and 10% for ages 65+. Facebook follows with 14%, 19%, and 8% in the same groups, while Twitter shows the lowest engagement at 9%, 18%, and 4%. A clear comparison appears in the oldest group , Facebook’s 8% is exactly twice Twitter’s 4%, showing that adults 65+ favor Facebook significantly more than Twitter.
