Overall, there was a fluctuation in the number of workers who immigrated to Australia in each given field of work. The figure for accounting job always held the highest position, while the reverse was true for computer programmers.
Professions, especially accounting, exhibited much bigger figures throughout the period. Starting at 20,000 in 2009, the quantity of employees working as a accountant went up dramatically to around 27,000 in 2010, then fell to 22,000 and 21,000, in 2011 and 2012 respectively. Conversely, the number of migrant workers in computer programming show a slight rose from around 2 thousand in 2009 to 4 thousand in 2010, and this was followed by a gradual decline to about 2000 in 2011.
Cooks started at 16,000 immigrants in the initial year, a figure that then drop slightly to 15,000 in 2010, then ended at approximately 16 thousand in 2012. Similarly, the number of job in software engineering field grew to 21,000(2011), before falling noticeable to about 16 thousand in 2012.
