Overall, the population of these animal species fluctuated. It is also evident that the number of Seals remained high compared to Whales and Dolphins over years. Dolphin populations gradually increased in each record.
In the year 2006, Seal populations were the highest, at over 40. After four years, their populations dropped considerably, remaining about 25. Seal populations then slowly rebounded and reached about 45 in 2018. Conversely, there was no significant growth in the Whales’ community. Their populations ranged from 20 to 30.
In regard to an upward trend of Dolphin populations, they started with nearly 20. Their population then slowly rose up. In 2010 and 2014, they reached just over 20 and 30 in terms of population, respectively. In 2018, there is a recorded peak of the Dolphin populations, just over 50, which makes them the highest in the Gormez Straits.
