The given chart depicts the primary causes of stress among four different age groups in Canada.
Overall, the leading causes of stress vary across age groups. Notably, while financial issues and overworking concern the younger and middle-aged groups, the elderly are mostly stressed due to health problems or simply due to no particular reason at all.
Adults from 25 to 54 and 55 to 64, the former records the highest percentage of stress caused by overworking at 25% while the other remains at 15% in the same category. In addition, the percentages of people from 25 to 54 and 55 to 64 suffering from stress caused by financial problems are at 15% and 13% respectively.
In contrast, work-related problems and not having enough money are the elderly’s least important concerns. However, health problems or no particular reason are the leading causes for their stress. People from 75 and over account for the highest percentage of stress caused by health problems at 23%, followed by the age group from 65 to 74 at 15%. In the no particular reason category, both these age groups continue to account for the highest with the figure for elderly above 74 remaining at 35% and the other 33%.
