The column chart above depicts the number of international students studying in a second year graphic design class in the south of England.
The most striking feature which can be seen is that the country of Sweden holds the highest volume of students learning graphic design, whether in Computer-Aided Deisgn (CAD) or photography. Meanwhile, the country of Syria has the least enrolled students in the same course. Beside that, there is a tendency for male foreign students to apply for CAD class; whereas for the opposite gender to apply for photography in majority of countries shown except Syria.
In Sweden, the ratio of male to female in the CAD core option is precisely 7 over 2, yet for the photography core option is exactly 1 over 9. By contrast, all of the female Syrians in the figure are enrolled in CAD, and there is no significant trend for the males to choose one dominant core option as the number of students are precisely the same.
Simultaneously in the same period shown, Spain has the largest gap by a factor of two between the number of students taking the two classes available, followed by German and lastly France.
