The bar chart illustrates the number of students who did research studies on different subjects in 2005. It also includes information on how many female and male students there were.

Overall,it is obvious that the majority of students were males and the most widely studied subjects were psychology,natural sciences and mathematics.

Natural sciences were studied by 200 male and 200 female students,which is a record number among all categories.Psychology had 200 male and a bit less female students.Mathematics come after and also had 200 male students,whereas the number of females was extremely low,less than 50 students.

Other subjects like engineering were studied by 150 male and approximately 90 female students,programming had the same number of male students as engineering subjects and around 75 female students.The last subject is linguistics. This is the only subject where the number of females was higher than the number of male students.It had around 80 male and 120 female students.
