The given bar chart illustrates the total of males and females joining a number of types of evening courses at an education center for adults in 2009 whilst the percentage of age range of members taking part in this course.
In comparison, more women attended drama, painting and language courses than men did. In addition, the ages of the participants have positive correlation with the percentage of participation.
According to the bar chart, drama and language had double the number of female participants compared to male. Specifically, 20 women and 10 men in drama class; 40 women and 20 men in language ones. In painting class, the number gap of these 2 genders attending this class was 5. Obviously the number of women (30%) was more than men (25%). However, sculpture was not likely for women to join with only 5 women and this number was one half compared to the number of men.
In the term of percentages of participants’ ages, at the young age (under 20), there were just 5 people from this age group joining this course. When they reached their 20, this percentage increased by 6 percentage points. The pattern continued when they reached their thirties and forties, their participation rates also rose to 16% and 26% respectively. Furthermore, the oldest age group (50+) also witnessed was the highest rate of attendance (42%)
