Overall, Australian males consistently dominated across all age groups except for the youngest one. Furthermore, females, those aged 15-24, accounted for the highest proportion of women doing regular physical activity, while the figure for males contributed the most in the 45-54 age group.
When it came to the share of males in Australia doing regular exercise, individuals aged 45-54 were recorded the largest percentage, at 53.3%. This was followed closely by the 55-64 and 35-44 age groups with 53% and 52.6% respectively. Males aged 25-34 comprised 48.9%, whereas the youngest and oldest groups made up approximately 47% each.Similarly, 55-64 was the dominant age group of Australian females having an active lifestyle. While those aged over 65 came next with 46.7%, the figure for the 55-64 age group made up 45.1%, which was 2% higher than the 45-54 age group (43.1%). The smallest share came from females aged 35-44 with 39,5 %, around 2.7% lower than the 25-43 age group
