The bar chart illustrates proportion of Australian people in both gender in various age groups who exercised consistently in 2010. Overall, it is obvious that the rate of physical activity among men was highest in all age groups, except in the 15 to 24 age group where the rate of women’s physical exercises was higher.
In the age gap of 15 to 24 percentage of women exercises was just under the 53 % which is the highest in all age groups of female groups, while it was approximately 48 % in male category. For females, 35 to 44 years olds performing the lowest rate of physical activity at nearly 39%. While males reached at the lowest rate in the oldest age groups by 47.1%.
In the oldest age group the female and male’s rates were approximately same which were just over 47% and 46.1% respectively.
