Overall, it can be seen that the number of households with internet access increased throughout the period. Moreover, Germany had the highest percentage, followed by the UK and then Spain.
In 2007, the number of households with internet access in Germany was just over 70%, while the proportion of households with internet access in the UK and Spain were declined gradually from over 60% to 40%. The period between 2009 and 2013 experienced a sharp rise in the households’ internet availability in these European countries, which accounted for nearly 80% to 90% in Germany, 70% to 85% in the UK, and more than 50% to 70% in Spain.
Furthermore, the percentage of Germany households with internet access surged dramatically than other two nation which was from 90% in 2015 to approximately 100% in 2019.
