As can be seen, the highest value of seafood imported in 2022 and China has the biggest proportion as the exported country for the US.
The first graph, in 2002 stood at just above 5 billion, followed by 2012 at around 10 billion. After that, there was a significant increase at approximately 20 billion, climbing 2 times from before that and it can be the highest level of this period in 2022. In prediction, the total of US seafood imports will slightly decrease to around 18 billion.
In the second chart, there were several countries that export seafood products to the US. The first ranked is China with 28%, then Thailand at 23%, and Canada with 16%. Later on, Indonesia is the fourth-ranked with 9%, followed by Vietnam at 8% and Ecuador a 7%. In addition, other countries also export seafood to the US at around 9%.
