If we inspect the given bar chart, we can see that the biggest contributor to the economy is clearly Finance, it seems to experience a gradual increase, on the other hand the Manufacturing sector was one of the smaller contributors therefore it came crashing down.
To evaluate these different industrial areas’ contribution to Brazil’s economy, I want to start with the Finance industry. Finance is the biggest contributor among these five industries. In 2009 it was nearly 30% and in the following years it showed a gradually increasing trend which is almost %6 by per decade. It is predicted to be a little above 40% by the year 2029. On the other hand there were no steady increases. Food processing area almost doubled by contribution from 2009 to 2019 but it is predicted to decline back to nearly 10% by 2029. The Fossil fuel industry was the biggest contributor after the Finance, it saw a boost of nearly 5% from 2009 to 2019 but the experts are expecting it to decrease back to the same percentage as 2009.
While other industries were expanding or keeping their values, the Manufacturing industry experienced nearly 5% loss and it is predicted to go down by 9-10 more, losing most of its contribution to the economy compared to 2009. Alongside with Manufacturing, the Tourism area is also affected, it saw a slight decline from 2009 to 2019, which is almost 5%. It is predicted to plateau from 2019 to 2029.
