The bar chart illustrates the amount of money spent on two type of electronic items, Computers and Smartphones, in country X between 2011 and 2015. Overall, spending on computers were higher than smartphones at the begining, but smartphones sales increased dramaticaly by the end of the period.
In 2011, the sales of computers was about 30 million dollars, while smartphones only reach 10 million. This trend continue in 2012 and 2013, where computers sales rose gradually to 35 and 40 million dollars, while smartphones sales remain steady at around 10 million.
However, in 2014, smartphones sales started to rise sharply, reaching 30 million, while computers still increased but slowly, up to 45 million. In 2015, smartphone sales jumped to 45 million, almost equal to computer sales which reach 50 million dollars.
To conclude, although computers had more sales through most of the years, the gap reduced significantly in the last years as smartphone became more popular.
