In general, Argentina experienced the highest average prices per kilometre for clothing exports, whereas Brazil remained unchanged. In contrast, India and Bangladesh saw a moderate growth during the period.
Focusing on bigger numbers first, the average costs of Argentina began at approximately $28 per kilometre in 1993 and this was followed by a slight decrease to about $26 per kilometre by 2003. In addtion, Brazil maintained the same level around $23 per kilometer in both years. In 1993, Japan’s average price was $15 per kilometre clothing for exports, afterwards the figure declined to roughly $13 in 2003.
When it comes to smaller numbers, China witnessed the largest rise among given countries from $10 in 1993 to $17 in 2003. By 1993, India’s average costs were estimated at $7 per kilometer and then this figure incresed enormously to nearly $12 per kilometre by 2003. Despite the lowest average cost, Bangladesh rose own prices, reaching just over $6 by the end of the duration.
