Overall, the average price per kilometre of clothing imported from Argentina and Japan decreased over the period, with Argentina remaining the most expensive in 2003. While, the figures of China, India and Bangladesh rose significantly, the price of clothing imported from Brazil remained unchanged and was the second highest throughout the period.
In 1993, Argentina stood out by the average prices per kilometre of clothing imported the highest amount of price,registering around £28 .By 2003, however, the figures declined slightly to£ 26 . The same minimal drop was recorded in Japan whose clothing imported decreased from £15 to £13. Meanwhile, Brazil emerged as an outlier as its clothing imported the same at around £ 23 — the second highest figure recorded in the chart.
These changes were in the stark contrast to the trends observed in the remaining countries.The marginal increase was seen in China,where the clothing imported surged from £10 to £ 17 over the period, becoming the country with the most significant investment.A similar, though less dramatic,rise was recorded in India, with the figure climbing from £7 to £12 . Meanwhile, Bangladesh went up slightly from about £3 to £6 with the lowest figure over the period.
